Applications are invited for the Post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in INDO RUSSIA – DST RFBR funded research project in Centre for Disaster Mitigation and Management (CDMM), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore 632014, India.

Project Title : Natural hazards and monitoring for mountain territories in Russia and
India

Sponsoring Agency : Department of Science and Technology (DST)

Number of position :One

Duration :3 years

Qualification for the post: Essential:
1.M.Sc Applied Geology or M.E/M.Tech (Geoinformatics / Remote
Sensing and GIS/ Geotechnical Engineering) with B.E./B.Tech (Civil
Engineering).
2.GATE qualification

Desirable : Knowledge in Disaster Management, Remote sensing and GIS,
exposure to field work, Landslide Analysis, Investigations Knowledge in
Geotechnical and Geophysical studies. The candidate should be willing
to register for Ph.D.

Salary : Rs. 31,000/-per month + 8% HRA (for first two years)
Rs. 35,000/- per month + 8% HRA (for third year)
If no GATE qualification the salary will be fixed accordingly as per the
DST Norms

Nature of appointment : Purely on temporary basis
