A walk-in-Interview will be held on 16/10/2019 at 10.30 A.M in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (MBBT), Tezpur University for one (01) temporary position of Junior Research Fellow / Project Assistant in the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) research project entitled “Computational Investigation on the membrane induced self-assembly and aggregation of a-Synuclein” under Dr. Mattaparthi Venkata Satish Kumar, Principal Investigator, Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (MBBT), Tezpur University, Assam.
Qualifications: M.Sc. in Bioinformatics / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Physics / Mathematics / Biophysics / Chemistry / Life Sciences / Zoology / Botany and allied Sciences / MCA or M.E./ M. Tech or equal in Biotechnology / Bioinformatics / Computer Science / Information Technology from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate. For Junior Research Fellow position M.Sc. candidate should have qualified NET/GATE/BET/BINC. However, suitable Non-NET/GATE/BET/BINC M.Sc. candidate may be appointment as a Project Assistant.
Desirable: Candidate having prior research experience in the field of molecular dynamics simulation of biomolecules.
Age: Candidate shall not be more than 28 years of age on the date of interview. Upper age limit may be relaxed as per Government of India rules.
Fellowship: For Junior Research Fellow: Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty Five Thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per month for the 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 28,000/- (Rupees twenty eight thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per month for the 3rd year. For Project Assistant: Rs.14,000/- (Rupees Fourteen Thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per month for the 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 16,000/- (Rupees sixteen thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per month for the 3rd year.
Duration: Two (02) years or till completion of the project or until further order, whichever is earlier.

 

Interested candidates, highly motivated for a research career, are advised to send the advance copy of their application to the Principal Investigator, Department of MBBT, Tezpur University, Assam, through email within 13/10/2019 and/or may appear before the interview board along with all original documents and self-attested photocopies of mark sheets and certificates from 10th standard onwards, testimonials, caste certificate (if applicable), certificate of NET/GATE or similar examination, experience certificate (if any), a recent signed Curriculum Vitae (CV) and two recent passport size photographs on the day of interview.
